First performance:
The first performance was really hard for me because I was really nervous to show the class on what I have produced. So me and the decided to have a one to one first before showing it to the class. I feel like the one to one performance helped me a lot even though I know I'm still going to be nervous to perform in front of the class. Performing my idea helped me a lot because now I can see on what I have to work on more and a few changes that have to be made. the first performance helped me to think of what is going to be my next step. The questions that me and my teacher decided to ask were 1) Decide on whether or not you are doing an impersonation or lip-syncing? 2) Find the comedy within the routine?
For question one I was think that the start of the song should be an impression of him but before it reaches to the middle change it up a bit and make it become a comedy performance. I believe by doing this it would shock the audience because they might not see it coming. For the second question I was thinking that the name of the song is called "Juice", so maybe actually start bringing out juice and make it be about the juice and not the guy. I can make the audience get involved by throwing the juice at the audience and hopefully they catch it. The props that would support my routine for my next performance would be having some juice to give to the audience, have a hat and a jumper to get in character for the first bit of the performance.

I would still have the same hair style and costume but the only thing that would be chaining is that is going to be comedy instead of serious. an example of this is:

Second performance:
This time when I performed it, it was in front of my classmates. I was feeling a lot better after showing them my performance because it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. After performing, I got feedback from my classmates and teacher and they said that I should act more as a boy because I am trying to be a drag king. The next time that I would performing, I am going to make sure that every move that I make is more manly and powerful. I feel more confident and less nervous when performing in front of my classmates but I do feel that I could a lot better next time.
15th May :
Strengths:
- Exaggeration has improved: I like your snarl.
- Felt like there was more of a routine/more choreography.
Areas for Improvement:
- To ensure you are lip-syncing in time with the track (target not met from 08/05 – set again).
- Ask Wes to edit the track for you. Perhaps take out the intro and shorten it to one minute (target not met from 08/05 – set again).
- Make sure that you have your props and backing dancers next lesson (target not met from 08/05 – set again).
- Make all movement more masculine.
- Script the song with stage directions/choreography/how you’re using other performers etc considering how you will make the routine funny.
12th June:
Strengths:
- You appear more comfortable with your song choice in performance.
- Hagar’s role works well and adds interest for the audience.
Areas for improvement:
- Ensure all of the lip-syncing is in time and that it is exaggerated.
- Ensure all of your dance moves are precise and in time.
- Bring the Year 10 performers into the lesson next week.
- Finish the dance routine.
- Book in a workshop with Ms. Beacroft.
